dSb Wins Pace Awards Best Variety CD
dSb is pleased to announce the band was recently honored with the Pace Award for Best Variety CD for their recent release “Looking Back” (Wise Guy Records). As the title suggests, it is a retrospective of die Schlauberger and the music the band performed in its early days but with a modern twist. The traditional tone of “Looking Back” offers a departure from the modern festival pop and hard-edge alpine sound played by dSb today yet the album still manages to capture the essence of the band.
The PACE Awards are a National Music Award, through Polka America Corporation, recognizing those who release significant recordings in their class in North America. Nominees are selected and voted for by experts in the field, members of Polka America Corporation, and the public. This is a combination "peer" and "fan" award.
We want to thank all of our loyal fans and our talented colleagues in the music world who
contributed to dSb winning this incredible award!

New CD Release - Looking Back
WG Productions is proud to announce the release of dSb’s sixth full-length CD “LOOKING BACK” under the Wise Guys Record Label. While the integration of additional brass instrumentation has given the CD a more conventional sound, the band’s signature vocal harmonies and instrumentation ring out, leaving no doubt that “Looking Back” is dSb at
its “traditional” best.
Among other classics, “Looking Back” includes a Trinklieder Medley, a Karnival Party Potpourri, and a stirring rendition of Edelweiss. Also included is a rare, recorded version of the crowd-pleasing Jaegermarsch Walzer.
Although “Looking Back” is not the usual dSb fare of today, it represents the band’s recognition of its roots and makes the statement that “it’s always nice to go back home”.

die Schlauberger (dSb) Proudly
Announces Hofbräu Sponsorship
die Schlauberger and Hofbräu München have joined forces to bring the great music of Germany and the great taste of German beer to festivals and establishments across the United States.
dSb is thrilled to be associated with the centuries
old beer maker and Hofbräu America President Ferdinand Schumacher recently stated that their sponsorship of America’s Number One German Festival Band is a great opportunity for both parties. “We feel that die Schlauberger’s contributions to promoting German heritage at festivals and music events and the Hofbräu München presence make a nice combination”, explains Schumacher, “This partnership will give something special to audiences.”
The first Hofbräu brewery was completed in 1589 in Munich Germany. The brewery operates the Hofbräuhaus am Platzl, the Hofbräukeller, and the second largest tent at the Oktoberfest (Hofbräu-Festzelt). Its own brew, of course, is the only beer served. Hofbräuhaus franchises have been opened in the U.S.; the first in Newport, Kentucky and the second in Las Vegas Nevada. A third Hofbräuhaus franchise will open soon in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania.
"Hofbräu is happy to be associated with die Schlauberger (dSb), America's premier German Band," said Ralph Mauriello of, S.K.I Beer that imports Hofbräu into the New York area. “Hofbräu’s mission is to move across America and we look forward to die Schlauberger helping the brand grow in the US. We also look forward to dSb performing in our Hofbräuhaus establishments.”
